Following a heroic effort by Eastern Airways to get a new booking system up and running following the collapse of Flybe, passengers will once again be able to book flights from Teesside International Airport from 10am tomorrow (7th March).
People from Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool will be able to book flights to all of Eastern Airways destinations operating out of Teesside Airport, including the recently announced direct flight to Alicante – the first direct flights from Teesside to the hugely popular Spanish holiday destination in nine years.
Passengers wanting to book a flight will be able to so directly through Eastern Airways website at https://www.easternairways.com/.
The airline has set up a dedicated support email address for passengers with a Flybe booking flying from or into Teesside Airport.
Both inbound and outbound passengers should email [email protected] with their original Flybe booking information and Eastern Airways will transfer the booking, and issue a new booking conformation, free of charge. Alternatively passengers should call Eastern Airways customer service on 01652 680600
Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “The speed in which Eastern Airways have managed to get a whole new booking system up and running in the wake of the collapse of Flybe is phenomenal.
“Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the whole team at Eastern local people from across the region can once again fly from Teesside Airport to all four corners of the UK and Ireland as well as amazing holiday destinations.
“The last few days have not been the easiest for Eastern Airways, but their actions show just how committed the airline is to Teesside and our airport, and to doing the right thing for local people across Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool.”
